Coreen Peoples Young, 80, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on Saturday February 13, 2016. Born in Winsboro, Louisiana to Leona Green- Jones and Elsie Jones, she was a long-time resident of Lake Charles before retiring in West Lake. She was devoted to her dog and had a wonderful singing voice. Coreen enjoyed flowers, fishing and playing bingo with friends.
Coreen is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Survivors include her three sons, James Leroy Peoples (Marcy) of DeRidder, Joseph Dale Peoples (Ramona) of Welch and Roger Glenn Peoples of Lake Charles with two granddaughters, Kelly Peoples and Whitney Peoples Guillory (Nathaniel) and grandson, Aaron Joseph Peoples, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 19 at Hixson’s Funeral Home of West Lake. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Words of comfort can be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhome.com
