Darlene Marene Hansbrough, age 90, of Westlake, Louisiana passed peacefully away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on November 28, 1934 in Newellton, LA. to Velton McDaniel and Virtis Hodges McDaniel.
Darlene was a lifelong resident of Westlake where she was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church for 45 years. She had a love for baking cakes and cooking for everyone.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra Walburn and husband Tim of Livingston, Barbara Duplechain of Westlake, Diane Pitre of Hull, TX., and Lisa Grantham and husband Rodney of Westlake; 18 grandkids; 49 great grandkids; 21 great great grandkids; brother, Riley Monroe McDaniel of Grants Pass, OR. and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; two sisters; first husband, Boy Hansbrough; second husband, Jack Hansbrough; son, Billy Hansbrough and two grandsons, Robert Blanchard and John Minks.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Saturday, March 15, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery of Westlake.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Bridgeway Hospice and the nurses and CNA's at Jefferson Manor in Baton Rouge.
