Faye Parker

Westlake - Faye Parker, 81, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in a local hospital.

She was born in Evans, La. to Allen and Oma Hennigan. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian who started teaching Sunday school at the age of 13 and taught the J.O.Y. Sunday school class at Westwood for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Glen Parker of Westlake; sons, Gary (Kimberly) Parker of San Jose, CA; Tim (Vicki) Parker of Corpus Christi,TX., Terry Parker(Robert Arango) of Lake Charles; daughter, Beth (Mike) Parker Young of Westlake; sister, Muriel Littleton of Westlake; grandchildren, Jaime Parker, John Conner Cleveland, Forest Parker, Amy Parker, Shaun Parker, Amanda (Shaun) Moffett, Jeremy (Nicole) Parker, Candice Fast and Rebecca Young, great grandchild, Dakota Rae Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Oma Smith Hennigan, brother, James Hennigan.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Thompson and the Pulmonary Associates and the entire staff at Extended Care of Lake Charles for their excellent care and compassion for our loved one.

Her service will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Rev. David LeBlanc will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
