Born on January 10, 1944 in Cameron, West Virginia. He grew up in Cameron West Virginia where he graduated from Cameron High School. He came to Southwest Louisiana after being discharged from the Army and was employed by PPG industries until his retirement .
Jerry was known as a history buff, and loved woodworking, fishing, and traveling. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Necia and Ed Hubbs, sister Wilda Wendt, and brother Jack Hubbs.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Cynthia “Cyndi” McCain Hubbs, his children; Michael Hubbs, Michelle Leger (Tim), and Renee Meredith (Tim), his granddaughters; Cheyenne Meredith, Tuesday Cobb (Bradford), his great-grandchildren; Casey Cobb, Elsie Cobb, and Lucy Cobb, his two brothers; Robert Hubbs of South Carolina, and Mickey Hubbs of Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to Hobo Hotel.
A graveside service followed by military honors will be held at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00am.
