Jodia Lea Dunn Miller

Jodia was born January 21, 1926 in Florien, Louisiana to J.F. and Lena Dunn. She graduated from Pisgah High School in May 1943.

On November 29, 1947, Jodia married Jay L. Miller and moved to Lake Charles. They were married for forty nine beautiful years until Jay L’s death in 1997.

She is a member of Little Flock Baptist Church in Merryville, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay L; father and mother, J.F. and Lena Dunn; three sisters, Mora Clifton, Myrtis Self and Ora Lee Dunn; and one brother, Odie Dunn.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Cheryl Evans and husband, Dennis of Moss Bluff; her grandson, Brent Evans and wife, Melissa of Oklahoma City; two nephews, Donald Self and wife, Pat of Westlake, and Jerry Clifton and wife, Maria of Sulphur; and one niece, Diane Robertson and husband, Calvin of Westlake; as well as many great nieces and nephews. Jodia will be missed by all those who loved her dearly.

Her services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake with Elders Truman Keel and Gerald Read officiating. Burial to follow in Westlake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4-9 p.m. and will resume Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
