Marlene Marcantel Moore

Marlene Marcantel Moore, 82, of Westlake, passed away on Tuesday, May 01, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Basile, LA on April 10, 1936 to her late parents, Leon and Ester Marcantel. She enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone who came to visit. Marlene loved playing Bingo and winning. She had a very giving spirit and was loved by all.

She is survived by her four sons, Sherman Guillory and wife Evonne of Singer, Terry Guillory and wife Meme of Sulphur, Kevin Guillory and wife Leanne of Kalispell, Montana, Larry Russell Guillory and wife Shirley of Sulphur; three daughters, Debra Dear and husband John of Bridge City, TX, Sharon Gary of Moss Bluff, Connie Tuttle and husband Jackie of Singer; one sister, Ruth Pickett of Basile, LA; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Moore; her parents; two sisters, Haidee Guillory, and Beverlyn Ryder.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00am with Deacon Fred Reed officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
