Nellwyn Ruth (Bishop) Metcalf

A service will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Monday October 23, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will be on Sunday October 22 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday October 24, 2023 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery La.

Nellwyn was known by many and never met a stranger, she loved to cook and feed everyone. She’ll be remembered by her faith, family, fellowship and food!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn D. and Ollie L. Bishop, son Carl Metcalf, brothers; Norris Bishop, Terry Bishop and a great grandchild Kensley Arnold.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Metcalf, who met her at church when she was only a few weeks old. He told his grandmother “I want to take that baby home” and they've been married for 66 years. Daughters; Sadone Buller and husband Mike, Stacey Buller and husband Kent. Grandchildren; Tyler Arnold and wife Margaret, Austin Arnold, Lacey Buller, Kaleb Buller and Jace Buller. Great Grandchildren; Willie and Amelia Arnold
