Robert Leslie McClelland

He is a native of White Plains, New York and has lived in Westlake since 1980. He was a Firefighter in White Plains for 20 years and the former Fire Chief of Westlake. He was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, the Model Airplanes Association and MECA the Model Engine Collector’s Association where he served as Secretary and Treasurer.

He is survived by his son, Donald McClelland and wife, Jayne of New Jersey; daughters, Debra Mansfield and husband, Terry of New York and Shirley Smith and husband, Sam of Westlake; grandchildren, Caryn and Robert Mansfield, Sam Smith II, Kevin and Matthew McClelland.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Rose Marie McClelland, brother, Howard McClelland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon, Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Visitation will Sunday from 4pm-8pm with a rosary at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and resume Monday from 8am until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Christus St. Patrick Hospital or The American Diabetes Association.
