Roberta was a native of Church Point, LA, and has lived in this area for over 60 years. She was a longtime member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, and was an active member of the Ladies Alter Society and The Rosary Group. She loved tending to her flower gardens in her spare time. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be missed greatly.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are a son, Kirt Leger; a daughter, Annette Leger and husband, Thomas; three grandsons, Jason Leger, Kolbe Leger, and Jacob Leger all of Westlake; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Leger, daughter, Diane Marie Guzman; three granddaughters, Tina, Kimberly, and Tiffany Guzman, parents, Leo and Eula Simoneaux, brothers, Ravis and Fergie "T-Boy" Simoneaux, and a sister, Betty Ann Bass.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake. Rev. Michael J. Barras will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will be 4:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 6 pm. at the funeral home.
