

Dwight was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma "Tim" Moncrief, and his parents, Basil Montgomery and Dorothy Richard Moncrief.
In his youth Dwight loved fishing, hunting, and target shooting. He was a gun collector and sharpshooter.
Dwight loved his family and recently moved to Westlake to be nearer to them, but his heart remained in VanCleave, Mississippi where he and Tim lived for 16 years in their beautiful home in the woods.
His faith in Jesus kept him going after Tim's death and at his death he expressed how ready he was to see her and Jesus.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Paige Ives (Chris), Chris Fontenot (Michele), Gwen Rakoff (Nik), Cheryl Havard (Wayne), and Cliff Moncrief (Mandy); grandchildren, Matt Ives, Loren Fontenot, Alexa Fontenot, Beau Fontenot, Tyler Havard, Logan Havard, Ethan Rakoff, Garrett Rakoff, Drew Bollich, Olivia Moncrief, and Brenna Moncrief; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dixie Klepzig (Robert).
Dwight's wishes were to be cremated and his remains to be laid to rest with his wife, Tim. Cremation was entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
