Toni Anne Martarona Reed, 64, of Westlake, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at a local hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on December 20th, 1958, to Ruby and Vincent Martarona of Westlake, La.
In her earlier years, Toni worked at the Westlake Police Department for a couple of years. She later became a stay-at-home mom, then worked as a school bus aide in Calcasieu Parish. Toni was very family oriented and loved her son. She could always be found around her great nieces and nephews. Toni was a devout Roman Catholic, and she faithfully attended mass at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, La. While there she taught catechism and helped to the best of her ability around the church.
Toni is preceded in death by her Parents, Vincent and Ruby Martarona; Husband, Harold “Skeeter” Reed, Sister, Johnnie Cavender, Brother-in-Law, Eric Camel Sr., and Nephew, Phillip Camel.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Tanner Stetz, Shase Stetz, Ryken Martarona, Scott Martarona, Chris Pressely, Joey Martarona III, Michael Camel and Andrew Martarona.
Toni is survived by Son, Vincent Reed of Westlake, La. and Fiance Jonathan Salazar of Beaumont, Texas, Brothers, Vincent “Joe” Martarona and wife Susan of Longville, La., Frank Martarona and wife Pam of Dequincy, La. Sisters, Dianna Camel of Lake Charles, La., Tina Wilkins and husband Aubrey of Dequincy, La., Angela Stetz and husband Chris of Sulphur, La., Susan Martarona of Westlake, La., Godchildren, Eric Camel Jr., Veronica Lafleur, Lauren Collier, Courtney Pressely, Victoria Casteel, Justin Wilkins and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and countless Great Nieces and Nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 22nd, 2022, led by Deacon Fred Reed at Hixson Funeral Home, 2409 Westwood Road, Westlake, La. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until 2:30 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 23rd, 2022, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 1301 Sampson Street, Westlake with Father Michael Barras officiating. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery in Westlake.
