He was my college roommate my freshman year at Kent State.  I learned of his passing 7 years too late to go to the funeral.  Rest in peace, brother.

Brent, tomorrow will be one year. I think of you at least once a day and tell stories of you to Owen often. He really misses you and wants to know if heaven is far. I don't know how to explain to your favorite nephew but I feel he realizes that he will never see you again. He is pretty good at driving the ball thanks to you and Burt plays baseball with him almost everyday. I hope you are okay and wonder if you are at peace all the time.   I left for a trip to Kenya the day I heard of your son Brent's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss and cannot imagine the pain and sadness you are experiencing. I am so so sad to hear of Brent's passing.  I loved him dearly and our times together have never lost their specialness and meaningfulness to me and to my life.  He always held an enormously special and important place in my heart and mind whether we were near or far.  He was truly a character and a special, wonderful person.
