Dear Damian Family , I am sending love and strength. I never met Mandy, but heard wonderful stories about her shining light and bigger than life persona and kindness through my dear friend Cheryl. I wish I’d had the chance to meet her. Thinking of you all. -Jessica

My deepest sympathy, heaven surely has gained another angel, but us on earth will miss this kind hearted , good natured woman. I was really saddened to hear about the loss of Menchie but will always remember her with great fondness.  Prayers for her family. May God provide you all with peace and comfort and surround you with his love.

I was blessed to have worked with Dr Armando Damian for 20 yrs at Lake East.  He was the surgeon for myself and my father as well. The Damians are the most kind , generous, persons that I know. 
In retirement , Mrs. Dr. Carmencita accepted me as a FB friend while she never knew too much of me, but respected the working professional relationship her husband and I had and shared grandparent moments and kept communication, Xmas cards etc. up between us. She always sent me cards at Xmas which I loved! I could read them! ( his penmanship a bit poor) Loved seeing their families grow and the joy they had in retirement.
My very best wishes to you as you heal, Dr. A and family. My deepest sympathy.

It is not often that a person's passing away creates 
 a palpable jolt affecting  those left behind, friends and the community-emotionally, physically and psychologically. There is a sense of denial.That is is not so.
And remembering Menchie's loving, compassionate, joyful , and reassuring yet forceful  persona, it is difficult to realize Menchie had been called by her Maker to heaven. Although she had fulfilled her earthly calling, we know she would have done much, much more but..... God sent for her to rest and live  with the angels.
Menchie, we are lucky and blessed to have known you, your Mandy and family. We already miss you!!! May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear Mandy,

We would like to convey our deepest sympathy to you and family. Everyone knows Tita Menchie's dedication to APPO and for that she has been respected and admired. She had been a masterful coordinator of our Medical Missions for years that her passing will leave a void that no one can replace.  As a friend, what we will miss is her caring and thoughtfulness. We will always remember and cherished those little happy gatherings with friends she organized. Lately, she has found a new hobby and we are sure sooner or later, she will ask to have an audience with God to present Him, freshly baked cake and a new food recipe.

Tita Menchie always said that she wanted to be around us, the younger generation, so she could "feel" young.  We, in turn, loved being around her because she inspired us.  Her zest for life and service is truly unparalleled.  Someday, we hope to impact people the way she has. Tita Menchie will always have a special place in the hearts of the members of Our Lady of Fatima Far-West prayer group.  To Tito Mandy & family, our prayers are with you.

Our most sincere condolence to you,Mandy and family for such a huge loss.We will miss Menchie,especially her kind demeanor and eternal smile.She was a very pleasing presence in Our Lady of Fatima prayer group with Mandy. Sending much love to the entire Damian family as you celebrate Carmencita (Menchie)'s beautiful life & remarkable legacy.  I'm keeping Cheryl and all of you close to my thoughts and prayers. 

Menchie was surely a saint of a human. What a moving and loving tribute to her. I wish I had gotten to meet her. I have, however, gotten to experience the love and integrity that she passed down to her wonderful daughter and one of my closest friends, Cheryl. Cheryl, Michelle, Rachel, and Mr. Damian: I'm so sorry for your loss and the heartache you must be going through. Your mom was a rockstar and the world is a better place for having had her touch so many in it. Love to you all, and to all those who are missing her.
