Dear Maria,
My mother (Denise Pauls/Gacek) informed me about your loss. I remember the last time I saw you guys in 2018, when the four of us took in a lunch. We talked about how you and Carmen might make it over to Italy some time where I would just have to cross the Alps to meet up with you.
Thank you for the nice memories I still keep, when I got to visit you and the Cleveland area in the summer time.

I'm deeply saddened with the passing of Carmine, he was one of my closest friends in life since we were around 14 years old .
Carmine always seemed to be happy with a friendly smile on his face.   He is one of those very special people that grabs your attention the moment you meet him with that smile and warm comforting laugh truly a one of a kind , with a personality as large as Mount Everest! Carmine will truly be missed because he was a gift to everyone that knew him . It was always a fun time to be around him.  I pray for you, and that you watch over Marie and  all your family and friends  .               I love and miss you MY BROTHER  I'll see you when I crossover!!

Marie, I was scanning the obituaries and saw Carmine Romano. I knew he was your husband. I recalled your engagement and wedding.  
I will pray God comforts, gives you strength, and rest.

I met Carmine at a wine bar and immediately liked him as we exchanged stories and reminisced about growing up in Cleveland’s West Side Little Italy.
I soon learned that he was a poet and enjoyed the poems that he shared with us in our little dinner group “The Clinkers”.
He was a sharp dresser and always the teacher with a pen in his shirt pocket. A kind, true gentleman and friend and will be missed.

Carmine was such a treasured friend to us ! He and Marie brought much happiness to our lives and fond memories over many years . Our children looked at Carmine as a bonus Uncle to them and they loved coming at Christmas especially to share with our Family ! You have left a special place in all our hearts and until we meet again ! God Blessings !
