John, my heart breaks for you. Cheryl was such a wonderful person. I am so glad we reconnected after her retirement, she came over every week and we had such a good time learning and playing Mah Jongg together. I wish i had the words to help ease your pain for such a heavy loss....have you and the boys in my prayers.Karen

Very shocked and saddened by Cheryl's passing, I know it has hit my family in a real hard way. Cheryl's zest for life was very apparent in all she did and all her friends! I was always jealous of her trips to Put-in bay in the summers, even though it was really just to watch John play(it was just her love for life)... I have many good, fun memories but one of my most appreciative 'Cheryl memory' was a call I received at work in the summer of 1990- Cheryl knew how hard it was to find childcare for Ian and Lindsay on my 12hour weekend shifts at Fairview Hospital. Cheryl called me and said "are you missing anybody" and my heart sank-"I'm at work --why?!" "Ian and I are in our house(Ian was less than 2years old)- and oddly enough he's been here for about 20minutes at least!" Unfortunately my sitter never came outside to check on him, for that entire hour! She put him on a blanket in my front yard- and went inside to watch T.V. -Ian crawled to the street and Cheryl saw him and took action. Cheryl took pleasure in telling her (the sitter from hell) that she could go home and not come back! Lindsay was playing at the Birney's house and never was checked on either by the sitter! I thanked the good lord that our neighbors and our neighborhood were truly special. The street will be less cool without Cheryl-RIP .

I had many fun times with Cheryl at UTU Meetings. I loved to watch her in the casinos. One of our best times is in New Orleans , Cheryl Sneed , and Cheryl Jr ( this is what we called her) and myself took a city tour in a horse and buggy. We had a great time. She will be missed.
