Gary M. Baratko

GARY M. BARATKO, age 71, passed away December 12, 2014 at his home in North Olmsted. A proud United States Army Veteran, he was the beloved husband of Lyn (nee Carpenter) and dear father of Kellie (Stuart) Baumann and stepfather of Heather (Johnny) Costello. Proud grandfather of Kyle (Danielle) Baumann and Neil Baumann and great-grandfather of Gavin. Gary was the devoted brother and best friend of Steve (Irene) Baratko and brother of Shirley (Gary) Narks. A loving uncle of Rick, Brian, Christopher and Kim Baratko and Shelley (Joe) Sabo. Gary also leaves behind his first wife Marilou Baratko. Gary and his brother Steve owned and shared many happy memories at Baratko's Lounge in Lakewood for many years. He loved boating and leaves behind many laughs with his quick wit and sense of humor; he will be missed by all who knew him especially his loving and faithful companion Izzie. Gary's family would like to give a special thank you to John Essi, Kevin Anderson and his co-workers at S.E. Blueprint Inc., for their support and generosity towards Gary. A memorial service will be held in Gary's honor Wednesday, December 17, 7 p.m. at THE CATAVOLOS-BERRY FUNERAL HOME, 23040 CENTER RIDGE RD., WESTLAKE, where family will receive friends FROM 3 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
