Kathy, my dear sister. Words cannot express the hurt that my heart feels with your passing. On Sept. 24th as you and I held our Mother while she took her last breath I could never have imagined that 6 weeks later our family would be watching as you took yours. I cannot believe the devastation our family has endured in the last few years. But.... I will see you again, this is not where it ends, I will carry you with me..... till I see you again. Merry Christmas Mom, today was definitely not the same without seeing you or hearing your voice. I forget sometimes that I can't call you or stop for a visit. Life feels so different without you, ray ray asked this morning if gup gup was coming over for Xmas and I didn't know what to say.. The other day I took the kids through mcds drive through and some lady paid for our food without us knowing until she pulled away and I thought maybe that was u saying hi. I want to thank you for giving me great memories that sometimes I sit and think about and they remind me of how much fun you could make an ordinary day, or things you would do for us kids that most moms would never think of..you are one of a kind and I'm sure glad you are my mom I love you forever Merry Xmas..I can't wait to give you the biggest hug when I see you I sure miss you love always your son

Mom, I have not wrote to you untill now because Ive been at a loss for words. I am still dealing with trying to figure out how to go on in this world without you. You always worried about not being a good enough Mother. You never needed to. Mom, you were absolutely the best Mother I could ever ask for. I would never change a thing. You taught me so much about life, character, & how to do good for this world. Our lives together will never leave me. I miss you every day. So much! I know that God was ok with Grandpa, Aunt Betty, Uncle Rich, etc. Then Grandma got there & he had no choice but to call you. Its hard to accept. But you more than anyone deserve to b @ peace & with your favorite people. So I am gonna try my best to accept it. I Love You so much! I will miss every moment we shared. Especially singing!! Sherry and I just heard today. We are both so saddened to learn of Kathys passing. She had such firey passion for life, such a quick humor and was always playful with a michivious smile. Her family was her life, her driving purpose and Joy. I can not imagine the world without Kathy. My sister, Pam Pandoli was a long-time friend of Kathy.  She is heart-broken over Kathy's death, as are most people I speak to can't believe she is gone and was so young.  Pam will not be able to attend the funeral or wake because everytime she thinks of Kathy she is having anxiety attacks.  She has COPD and is on oxygen 24-7 (as you saw when she attended Kathy's Mom's wake) and wants me to extend her love, prayers and thoughts to Kathy and her family.  Pam loved Kathy and as I do, found her to be one of the "best friends" a person could have.  I assured her not going to the wake was fine (although it upsets her intensely), however she just can't do it.  Joe, Rachael, Raymond and Michael, Pam also wanted me to tell you to stay strong during this time and after.  Your Mom was a tremendous, giving and loving person.

I want to thank you for teaching me so many important things about life.  I have never known anyone quite like you. There were times that you actually thought that you failed us as a mother because things didn't go as planned or life happened, but in reality those times were the teaching moments that I will never forget.  You taught me that if you really want something there is nothing that can stop you, and when times are rough there is always someone who has it harder than you. If you think about some of the things that you did for us you would see that you never failed us, you instilled the greatest gifts that can be passed along: compassion, caring, love, and how to be a great friend. I don't think we will ever be able to touch the amount of lives that you did even if we had 3 lifetimes but we will try.  Thank you for giving me life and a great life it is. Kathy was like a mother to me and one of the funniest and most kind hearted people i have ever known. She is going to be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known her.

Dear Ellis Family,

Kathy was one year older than myself.  I have known your family since I was 18.  That was 39 years ago.  Kathy was a great person.  She also was lucky to have mom and dad all her life, and see her grandchildren.  This year has been a time of horrible loss for your family.  Just as my mom died 22 years ago, time will help you remember all the fun things; but the loss of someone so young will never be forgotten.  I feel there presence above.
