Born on October 12, 1939, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, to the late Lucien and Rena Hebert. She was the oldest of seven siblings. Anne graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and moved to Los Angeles in 1961 to pursue her nursing career at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Anne and her friends lived in a young, professional apartment complex where she met Rodney. The two were married in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, in 1963.
Anne and Rod moved to Westlake Village in 1967, where they raised their three children, Lee, Cheryl, and Paula. Anne was a loyal wife to Rod, supporting his career and standing by his side for 62 years of marriage. Anne led an active and full life in the community where she participated as a member of the Westlake Jr. Women's Club, the Conejo Valley Chapter of the National Charity League, and most recently Las Amigas, a Legacy group of NCL. She devoted many hours of her volunteer services and resources to charities such as Manna, Villa Esperanza, Mary Health of the Sick, & the NCL Thriftshop, to name a few. Anne was also a dance mom, soccer mom, football mom, and WAA track mom. She was a leader, full of spirit and fun ideas. Anne was smart, crafty, witty, and generous beyond words.
While raising her children, Anne returned to work as a Registered Nurse at Westlake Hospital, serving as Night Nurse Supervisor and Lead Infection Control Nurse. She enjoyed her career at the hospital and the many friendships she made in the community surrounding it. Anne retired in 1995, a few years before its closure.
Anne enjoyed her retirement at the family Pismo Beach home, where she served on the HOA. She was an incredible hostess to many friend getaways, family holiday gatherings, reunions, and trips that included her grandkids. She enjoyed taking long walks on the beach, hunting for shells, and organizing meals. The entire family will hold these treasured memories of our time spent together close to our hearts.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents Lucien and Rena Hebert, brother-in-law D’Arcy, and brother Carl.
Anne is survived by her loving husband Rod and beloved children Lee, Cheryl, and Paula (Mike). Her nine cherished grandchildren: Peyton, Nolan, Dominic, Mason, Anthony, Emily, Mitchel, Elaina, and Nora. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and brothers, Patti, Barbara, Art(Cheryl), Larry(Marcia), Nancy(Anne), and Darlene.
