

Born on June 17, 1928, Arthur lived a long and meaningful life defined by his deep devotion to family, his steady character, and an enduring appreciation for each day.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Bouyea Aiello (1930–1994), and his second wife, Elaine Dilley Girvin Boyle Aiello (1936–2013); his son, James “Jim” Arthur Aiello (1955–2013); his stepson, David Boyle (1958–2012), stepson-in-law Graham Pask; and his brothers, Paul (1936–2014) and Frank (1924–2020).
Art is lovingly remembered by his children Michael, Robert (Cindy Taylor), and Laura (John Popp), daughter-in-law Sharon Aiello; and by his stepchildren Arleen (Dan Fitzgerald), Brian (Linda Steiner), Carolyn (Russ Chitwood), stepdaughter-in—law Tammy Collier, Laura (John Matson), Denise, and Patty (Kurt Sponberg). He also leaves behind a large and cherished extended family of grandchildren - Ryan (Lisa Molitor), Kristen (Corey Stackhouse), Antonio, Emilie, Meghan, Peter, Chelsea, Tim, John, Derek, Stacy, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Michelle, Courtney, Austin, Tyler, Ava, and Lilly - and great-grandchildren Jude, Grace, Elijah, Rhea, Nolan, James, Aidan, Drew, Dylan, and Trevor.
Art dedicated many years of his professional life to financial analysis at General Telephone, working in both Santa Monica and Westlake Village. He was respected for his diligence and commitment to his work. For years he was the “Voice of General Telephone”, providing daily recorded updates to GTE employees throughout the state.
Beyond his career, Art was known for his competitive spirit and love of sports. He excelled in track during his college years and maintained a lifelong passion for baseball. Remarkably, he continued playing senior softball from 1994 well into his 90s - a testament to his vitality, determination, and joy for life.
Art was active in the lector ministry from 1965 at St. Hedwig Church in Los Alamitos through 2018 at St. Paschal’s in Thousand Oaks.
Those who knew Art will remember his unwavering focus on family, his gratitude for each new day, and the grace, love, and humility with which he lived throughout his 97 years.
Family and friends will pray a Rosary at 9:45 a.m. at the Guadalupe Grotto in front of St. Paschal Baylon Church in Thousand Oaks on Friday, May 8, at 9:45 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 and burial at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park in Westlake Village.
