Born on Mulberry Street in New York City's "Little Italy," Dante was the oldest of three. When his father died unexpectedly, Dante stayed in an orphanage for a time. For the rest of his long life, Dante donated to Roman Catholic charities and orphanages such as Covenant House and Boys Town.
After eighth grade, Dante went to work, eventually at the U.S. Post Office from where he would retire 40 years later. Dante's wife, Juliette, taught at a Roman Catholic girls school in the Bronx, where Dante and Juliette lived. Together they raised-and doted upon-a daughter of their own: Rosemary. When Rosemary grew up and married, she would triply bless Dante and Juliette with three grandsons.
Currently, two of Dante's grandsons live in the Conejo Valley and one lives in Florida with his wife, where they are expecting Dante's first great-grandchild in November. Dante's family wishes to thank the Thousand Oaks Royal, Dr. Peter Margolis, Los Robles Hospital, and all of Dante's friends who wished him well.
