

Eileen Keenan passed away on December 9, 2020, she was 102. Eileen was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on January 21, 1918. She graduated Saint Mary’s Nursing program in 1942 and was in the nursing profession for approximately 60 years.
She moved to California in 1953 and worked for Behrens Memorial Hospital and Glendale Memorial Hospital as a Nursing Supervisor. In addition, she worked for private practice in Glendale and Woodland Hills for many years. She moved to Westlake Village in 1970 and to Simi Valley in 1998.
During her 60 years in the nursing profession, she worked as a School Nurse in the Los Angeles School District, Home Health Care Professional throughout the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County, Nursing Director for a Convalescent Hospital, Director of a Drug Clinic and then completed her career at 80 years old, teaching in the nursing program at Casa Loma College. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at California State University Northridge in 1972 and was recently recognized as the most senior living graduate from that nursing program.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husband and daughter. She is survived by her four children and family, Donald Keenan of Boulder Colorado, Mary Guy of Texas, Fred Keenan of Simi Valley California and Douglas Keenan of Woodland Hills California, Grandchildren; Anthony Giannini, Nicolle Mejia, Brady Keenan, Evan Keenan, Carl Welliver and four (4) Great Grandchildren
