It’s time to celebrate Erney’s life! At the spry age of 87 ½, Erney left for Heaven at 7:46 Monday evening, November 9th, following a severe stroke, Friday, November 6th. As always, Erney was surrounded by family, friends and music. Pastor Jarlath Dolan of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, performed the Anointing of the Sick. The celebration of Erney’s life shall commence at 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 Kanan Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362.

Erney, an avid golfer, skier, bridge player and reader, was loved and respected by his friends in the UCLA Alumni Association, Serra Club International, North Ranch Country Club, The Bridge Academy II and especially, St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. He had great vigor and love of life. He, his warm laugh and bright eyes will be remembered by all.

Erney is survived by his Sister Eva, Son Greg, Stepsons Scott and Dean (the term “step” never seemed appropriate), Scott’s wife Dawn, Grandchildren Kyle, Ellie, Pierce and Jordan, Linda Frawley (Mike’s wife), and Mary Fortner (Erney and Marla’s unofficial daughter).

Erney cherished time and memories of good friends and family. We are so grateful that each of you are meaningful parts of his life, and enriched his life with your love.
