Fereshteh Banou Samedi

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Fereshteh Banou Samedi, who left us on June 19, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of her devoted family at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. She now reunites with her cherished husband of 66 years, Dr. Jalal Moghaddas, whose absence she carried until her final breath.

Fereshteh is survived by her eldest daughter, Dr. Shadi Moghaddas; her cherished grandchildren, Niki and Niloufar Golchini; and their father, Dr. Hassan Golchini. She is also survived by her youngest daughter, Dr. Nima Moghaddas; her devoted husband, Ron Morgan; and their children, Cyrus and Alexandria Morgan.

Born in the city of Tehran, Iran, Fereshteh grew up as one of six siblings—surrounded by the warmth of two sisters and three brothers who shaped her understanding of family bonds. While building her family, she worked as a secretary for Sherkat Naft, but her true passion was in her art. Fereshteh was a gifted artist who painted landscapes and realistic portraits using a blend of pencil and acrylic techniques.

In 2011, Fereshteh and Jalal began their final chapter together in California, where they discovered new joys in watching their grandchildren grow, treasuring family gatherings, and cultivating friendships that became an extended family.

Those who knew Fereshteh will forever carry the memory of her radiant smile that could light up any room and her infectious laughter that brought comfort in difficult times.

A celebration of her extraordinary life was held on June 27 among the family and friends who loved her most.
