Born to Alda and Edwin Golden in North Hollywood, California on October 22, 1947, he resided in Ventura County for over 30 years, making Camarillo his home in in 2009.
George will be remembered as a humble and hardworking man. He was everyone’s best friend, a loving father and a magnanimous grandfather. His heart was his family. Exceeded only by the love for his family was his love for his extended family – the Ventura County Fire Department.
George is survived by his two loving sons, Robert (Jamie) Golden of Greenville, TX and Jeffrey Golden of Camarillo, CA; daughter in-law, Danielle Golden of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Elaine Golden, Dianne Sackenreuter and Nancy “Nat” Cohen; six grandchildren, Jace, Callie, Addison, Evan, Lillian and Elijah; aunts, Marcia and Bea Vieira; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest son, Captain Jonathan J. Golden of the USAF; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Christina Golden.
