May 19,1990 – November 29,2024
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Hannah Rose Huxster. Hannah passed at the age of 34 on November 29th, 2024. She was born on Saturday May 19, 1990, in Thousand Oaks, California, to Peter Huxster and Susan Houlihan-Huxster.
Hannah was dearly loved by her family, and she loved them fiercely in return. Her parents, Susan and Peter, and three sisters- Katherine Huxster, Mary Huxster, and Sarah Bass are bereft at her passing. Hannah is the soul mate of her fiancé, Kevin Hughes. Hannah and Kevin made many memories over 11 years together, and Kevin keenly feels the loss of the many more memories and lives they had planned together. They enjoyed the outdoors and anything to do with water. Hanah loved going to the beach or to a lake and found peace in nature’s beauty. Hannah made every activity better with her presence. Her favorite time of the year was the holiday season. Hannah loved spending time with her family, and she loved the decorations.
As a compassionate and dedicated caregiver, Hannah worked as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Dermatology and was working towards becoming a Radiology Therapist. Hannah persevered in her education, despite the challenges, to pursue her goals.
Hannah was stylish and when she dressed up, she was a showstopper. She loved flowers and all things pink. She was proud of her Irish heritage and loved to tell you a story about her family, regardless of how many times you had heard it before. Hannah had an ability to always see beauty in anything. She especially had a talent to notice the beauty in people and in nature and shared her observations for all to enjoy. Hannah was the best hype-woman for those she loved. Attempts to minimize your accomplishments consistently resulted in Hannah correcting you to assert how great and important you are.
Hannah would often fantasize with her fiancé about the future. They would talk about the wedding they wanted, how many kids they wanted to have, and where they wanted to retire at. (Family oriented wedding at their church, 1-2 kids, and somewhere on a lake).
Hannah loved to listen to music, make crafts, cook for her family, and give support to others in any way she could. She became a dog person after living with the dog she shared with Kevin, Lando, for the last eleven years. Hannah and Lando shared a special bond. In the end of Lando’s life, Hannah was there to give him dignity and love by keeping him company, and keeping him clean in his final days before he passed earlier this year.
The world is a beautiful place and full of love, but we just lost someone that brought a beauty and love that was uniquely hers and will be forever missed to those who were lucky enough to have time with her.
