

Jack was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 20, 1939 to a military father John Thomas McDonald, Sr. and devoted mother Betty Jane (York) McDonald; growing up and living in Southern California all his life.
Jack retired from his long-time Procurement Manager position at Northrop Grumman Aerospace in 2005; having worked there 39 years. He was also involved in many club/community activities: serving on managing Boards; participating in the Conejo Valley Days Chili Cook Off many times; and, more recently, spending several years as a Volunteer Thousand Oaks Police Officer. While Jack enjoyed boating, camping, cars, golf and tennis, he was best known and loved for his generous ways, good nature and willingness to help anyone. He was truly kind.
Post-deceasing his two daughters, Tari and Sue, Jack is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pamela McDonald of Thousand Oaks, CA; his sister, Linda Edwards of Northridge, CA; step-children Scott Brown of Manhattan Beach, Craig Brown of Temecula, CA and Robyn O’Hearn of Santa Barbara, CA; sibling in-laws Patrick and Jane McDade of Thousand Oaks, CA and Blaze McDade of Simi Valley, CA. He was also “Poppie” to many grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Friday, January 7, 2022 10:00AM funeral service at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 32032 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA; burial to follow at Pierce Brothers Mortuary/Valley Oaks Cemetery, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA; and afternoon memorial reception at Paul Martin’s American Grill, 100 S. Westlake Boulevard, Westlake Village, CA.
