

Jacqueline Orrice Marley, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2015 at Thousand Oaks, California with family at her side. Causes of death include congestive heart failure and kidney failure following many months of declining health.
She was born to the late Lester Gordon Reed and Eula Laverne Wosinski Reed, April 17, 1933 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her only sibling, Gordon Reed, preceded her in death.
Jacqueline’s education was provided by the Grand Rapids public school system at all levels, elementary through community college. The diversity of her talents are reflected by four decades in the work force: College Registrar at Hobart College in Geneva, New York; Rocket Research Librarian for the Martin Company’s Titan Project in Denver, Colorado; Coordinator of the assessment program for the Riverside City School District in Riverside, California; Manager of the Ojai Chamber of Commerce in Ojai, California; and Office Manager for a private health services provider in Agoura Hills, California.
Jacqueline leaves a loving family, including her husband of forty-six years, Albert D. “Bud” Marley, former Superintendent of Las Virgenes Unified School District; stepson Tony Marley and wife Titi Marley of Houston, Texas; stepson Craig Marley and wife Patricia Marley of San Bernardino, California; five granddaughters, four great-granddaughters; one great-grandson and a host of friends within the greater Las Virgenes/Conejo Valley area; and both statewide and nationally in public education circles.
Remembrance services include a private family interment and a public Celebration of Life at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Agoura Hills-Calabasas Community Center, 27040 Malibu Road, Calabasas (located behind the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, just off Lost Hills Road at Agoura Road.)
Jacqueline Marley will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by the many people she influenced over eight decades.
