Lynda Louise Fields

Lynda was born in Cleburne, Texas on March 25, 1941 to D.L. Pierce, Jr. and Maudie Mildred Johnson. The family eventually moved to Riverside where she graduated from Victorville Senior High School. Her family then moved to the Thousand Oaks area, where she met and married the love of her life, Donald Lee Fields, in 1959. They soon had two energetic boys. They were both very active in their son’s sports and various activities. They loved country music, traveling and watching sporting events together. They were married 36 years.

Lynda worked in the accounting department for Griffin Homes for over 10 years. She was a devoted wife, doting mother, and a caring grandmother. She was also an excellent homemaker and a wonderful baker, known in our family for her incredible chocolate cake. Her greatest joy came from playing cards with her poker group, visiting with her grandchildren, and her poodle, Sugar. She was also a very proud Thousand Oaks Resident for over 50 years. We will all miss her kind heart, lovely smile and positive attitude in life.

Lynda is survived by her sons; Jeffery Fields, of Newbury Park and Rodney Fields of Simi Valley, Grandchildren, Candace Chavez of Missouri, Tyler and Austin Fields of Simi Valley, Daughter in-Law, Norma Fields; Cousins, Chuck an Beverly Bledsoe of Hesperia; Sister in-Law, Juanita Pierce of Kansas; Sister in law, Marilyn Fields of Thousand Oaks and other family and dear friends.

Lynda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald Fields, mother and father Mildred and D.L. Pierce; Brothers; David Pierce and Larry Pierce; in laws Millie and Marshall Fields; and Sister in laws, Marsha and Margie Fields.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 27th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, located at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362. A Methodist service will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park on August 28, 2013 at 10 a.m.
