Marty was born in Santa Monica, CA at Santa Monica Hospital. During his early childhood, he was a tricycle daredevil, which resulted in a number of split chins and trips to the Emergency Room. Convinced that he was on his way to becoming the next James Dean, Marty spent one summer working as an extra in the movie “Some Kind of Wonderful”.
He graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1987. He studied business at Santa Monica College, Cal State Northridge, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Pepperdine in Business Administration.
Marty spent most of career working as a Controller / Administrator for a number of law firms. Ultimately, he worked as an Agency Owner in the insurance field.
Marty is survived by his father Stephan and his brother Bill. He is preceded in death by his mother Nancy. Marty was a dog Dad to two Huskies and was a life long animal rights advocate.
There will be an upcoming celebration of life at a date/time to be determined. The family requests a donation to the ASPCA or City of Hope in lieu of flowers.
