Norma and I were best friends during our school days here in Vienna, IL. I remember the many plans we made for the future. She was only 16 when we graduated from high school in 1939--too young to be accepted in Nursing school.  But never fear--she found a way,I know she was an excellent nurse, and served her country with all her heart.Love you Norma my childhood friend and miss you,

I recall a wonderful,crazy trip to Europe in 1971. Norma,Nancy,Francis and Wayne,our great and patient escort.
  Norma was sincere,sensitive,compassionate,feisty and fair.  one of the finest nurses I have ever known.
  Wayne,Nancy and Sara,I cherish precious memories with you. Norma,I will see you in heaven with Francis.

We were so sorry to hear about Norma's passing.  She was a dear person.  John worked with her at Conejo Valley Hospital.  John and Bette Pounds, Boerne, TX.

Norma will be missed.  We think of her quite often and just smile.

The Sittarich family extends their sympathy to the Downing family.  You know that over the years you all have become our family and so we too are feeling your sorrow.  Jack will never forget the visits he had with Norma  while in Las Vegas!  I have been so intrigued by the wonderful love story between Wayne and Norma!
