Rita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend. A retired secretary, Rita loved to travel with family and friends across the United States and around the world. She was active in her community, with social groups and also gave her time volunteering at her favorite animal rescue shelter, Cat’s Cradle Rescue. Her greatest joy was spending time socially with her family and her numerous friends.
Rita is survived by her two daughters Donna Daeschner of University Place, WA., and Kendra Zugsay (husband Mike) of San Diego, CA. She also leaves behind step daughter Brenda Geneau (husband Jerry), and three step-grandchildren; Donald Begg (wife Terri) of San Diego, CA., James Begg of Santa Barbara, CA., and Amber Fruchey (husband Jonathan) of Oxnard, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th at 10 a.m. at the Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Griffin Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362.
