The most important thing I want you all to know is how fortunate I am to have had this good man for a father.  My Dad was a kind man, a happy man and a man who loved his family.
I learned values from him that helped me to be the man I have become. He believed in honesty, in fairness and in helping the underdog.  He viewed the world as a positive place where most people have good intentions.  His actions and decisions throughout his life showed me that he understood the incredible power of people working together and cooperating to try and make lives better to build a better society for us all.
Dad also gave me other life advice that helped me succeed.  He taught me to read at a young age which kickstarted my own life long quest for learning and taught me the importance of a good education.   He helped me get on track to buy my first home. He persuaded me to go back to school to get my MBA which was essential to open the doors I needed to get through to have my own successful career.
 Dad was an especially gifted speaker.  Many of his friends teasingly called him “Oral Roberts”.  I greatly admired the way he would speak in front of people with such confidence and clarity.  When he was inducted into the SoCal Tennis Hall of Fame, I listened to him give a wonderful acceptance speech with great stories and just the right amount of gratitude.  
I am comforted that Dad was able to live the kind of life he wanted.  He had a beautiful wife that adored and supported him through thick and thin.  He raised three children, had many wonderful vacations and won many, many tennis matches all over So Cal and around the country.  
I miss him, but I also know that grief is the price we pay for love

Bob, our teammate and friend has passed. My family and I offer our condolences to his family who were fortunate to have him around and helpful these many years.  I first met Bob, in 1977 when upon joining Sunset Hills Country Club. He was on of the premier tennis players at the club, singles and doubles. It wasn’t until 1997 In Palm Springs that I was given the opportunity to play with him in the Phoenix Open. We did very well together and in several Club Tournaments getting to the final but losing to much younger competitors  those times.. Still the battle was always great fun offering us fond memories..  I loved telling competitors you just lost to 70 + senior citizen. I always saw shocked expressions in their faces,, my little tease. We all wanted to play as long and as well as Bob, some almost reached that level but not many he definitely set a standard of excellence for all to follow. I can actually say I named, let ball winners, after Bob. Everytime one happened many players would call it an “Isenberg.”.He hit so many it was amazing.  He loved it.  Rest in Peace Bob.
