Robert Frances Morton III of Los Angeles, CA passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born on September 17, 1962, in Lexington, KY where he grew up in St. Martin’s Village on 964 De Porres Avenue.
He graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY and played basketball at Clinton Community College in Clinton, IA and Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL.
He worked as a home development project manager.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Washington.
He is survived by his wife Jamila McKendell; his parents Marie Morton and Robert F. Morton Jr.; his siblings, Tony Morton, Jeff Morton, and Vondale Morton; his children, Robert F. Morton IV, Raquel Morton, Lanesha Peacock and Nathan Holmes.
The family would like to thank UCI Health-Lakewood for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral for Robert F. Morton III at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks- Griffin Memorial Park, Westlake Village, CA 91362 on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 2pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30pm-1:50pm.
