

A memorial service will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary in Westlake Village, CA, commencing at 2 p.m. Friday November 4, 2011
Ron Was born January 4, 1959 in Corpus Christi, TX to John and Aline Kokinski. Ronald’s father who was born in Pennsylvania was a service member in the navy, and his mother was born in Missouri, an incredible homemaker and devoted mother of five.
Ron arrived in Thousand Oaks in 1971, after his father transferred from Riverhead, NY to work for Grumman as flight engineer.
Ron attended Thousand Oaks High school where his athletic talents were displayed as he played both wide receiver and safety. Ron graduated in 1977.
After graduation Ron went on to work for CBC, a giant construction company, where his hard work and dedication earned him the title of supervisor.
Ron’s interests included family, hunting, fishing, cooking, country music, the Dallas Cowboys, skiing, and sports. He devoted a majority of his time to his profession as a carpenter, which he had been for over 30 years. His craftsmanship and meticulous nature can be seen through the thousands of home he helped to build and design.
Mr. Kokinski is survived by his wife, Roxana Kokinski; sister, Debra McNamara; sister, Kimberly Allen; sister, Pamela Holtfreter; brother, Raymond Kokinski; daughter Kaley Aguirre; four nephews, Dustin Allen, Joe McNarmara, Scott and Steven Holtfreter; four nieces, Barette Best, Brittanie and Courtanie Kokinski, and Bridgette McNarmara; Granddaughter, Sofia Aguirre; and his best companion, Toby Lynn Kokinski.
