S. Robert Benton of Westlake Village passed away on May 20. Besides his former career as an importer for over 45 years, he served over 30 years as a reserve Lieutenant for the San Fernando Police Department. He finished his career as the Head Volunteer for the Westlake Village VIP. He was an avid square dancer with Buckles & Bows, and was also lovingly known as Bozo the Clown.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Benton; sister Ann (David) Shalita; sons Scott and Stuart (Jane) Benton; daughters Beth (Tom) Hakenewerth and Lauri (Andrew) Loosemore; and grandchildren Rachel, Kara, Jacob, Molly, Michael, Samuel, and Dylan.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23 at 2:00pm at Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Westlake Village.
