Theresa Kasaba

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Rd. Westlake Village, CA. on Sunday 5-7-2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

The Funeral Service will be held at St Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 155 E. Janss Rd. Thousand Oaks CA on Monday at 10:30 AM. The Burial will follow and is being arranged by Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Mortuary, Westlake Village, CA. 818-889-0902

Theresa was born in Walsenburg, CO as one of 4 children. She graduated as Valedictorian from her high school where she received recognition as the State “Spelling Bee” Champion. She was awarded a scholarship to Seton Nursing School in Colorado Springs, CO. where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. During WWII she served as a nurse cadet for the U.S. Army Aircorps.

Theresa was married to Edward S. Kasaba on August 10, 1946. They were married 53 wonderful years. They enjoyed traveling, Sunday family drives and especially their getaways to Lake Tahoe.

Theresa worked as a Registered Nurse for many well-known hospitals in CA. She particularly liked OB/GYN nursing and especially rewarding was bringing new babies into the world. Also, she was a health educator at the high school level. She enjoyed horseback riding, golf and social events. She was an active member of her Italian Club and published their newsletter many times.

Theresa is survived by her children and their spouses Ed and Peggy, Terry and Len, Marie and Dennis and her daughter Kathy, her grandchildren and their spouses Eddie and Heidi, Christine and Curtis, Jason and Joel, Danny and Emily, Greg and Lexey, her great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.

Theresa is preceded in death by her husband Edward, her two sisters Katherine and Virginia, her brother Nathaniel and her mother Christine and Father Joseph.
