It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Wieslaw Wrobel, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Wieslaw was born on September 12, 1942, in Poland, and lived a life dedicated to his family, his principles, patriotism and the fight for freedom and justice.
Wieslaw was deeply involved in the “Solidarity” movement in Poland during the early 1980s, where he was a steadfast advocate for the end of communism, human rights, and equality. His tireless efforts and dedication to these causes were recognized when he was awarded the “Cross of Freedom and Solidarity” by the Polish President-a testament to his courage and commitment to a better future for all.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara, his devoted daughter, Iwona, and son-in-law, Slawomir. Wieslaw’s legacy also lives on in his cherished grandsons, Patrick and Daniel. He also leaves behind many dear friends and two brothers and their families in Poland, all of whom will remember him fondly.
He will be remembered for his strength, integrity, and the impact he made not only within his family but in the fight for freedom for his country. His life and contributions continue to inspire those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91362 on February 24, 2025, at 10 AM.
