William Clarence Sluder, of Thousand Oaks, California went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the age of 80 after a brief illness. He was the only child born to Cleo Clarence Sluder and Gertrude Rozella Eicher Sluder in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 18, 1943.
He joined his parents traveling with carnival groups from city to city during his childhood. Through his career he learned business and trading and as a co-owner managed King’s Food Supermarket grocery store in San Francisco, California.
His favorite pastimes included listening to Elvis Presley and the Beach Boys; and going to coffee shops, meeting, and speaking with people about current events and politics. He also enjoyed the company of his chihuahua dogs, Lucky Charm and Elsie.
William is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Channa Dieb; his son William Clarence Sluder Sr; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Gertrude Sluder, and his former wife Shirley Diana Sluder.
A service to honor William Clarence Sluder’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 22, 2024, located at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, California.
