Aida R. Cabrera

November 3, 1947 – March 24, 2022

Washington Township, NJ - Aida Cabrera (nee Rivera),74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Aida was married to Ramon, the love of her life for 52 years, and was devoted to their two children, Christine Capizzi (husband Marc), and Kathleen Paulter (husband Joseph). Her latest joy came from being with her three granddaughters Caitlyn, Lilly and Sienna. Aida is survived by her sisters Nati and Aurora and brothers Nereo and Noel.

Deeply religious, kind, caring, humble and grateful, Aida touched many lives with her strong faith, prayer, and compassion. She was happiest when she was doing good deeds. Aida was the calm, soft spoken one among her siblings but the health battles she endured proved her fierce strength and reverence for God.

Aida was passionate and committed to volunteerism and helping others through her earlier work with the hospital, as a Eucharistic minister, and aid to the poor. She enjoyed travel in and outside the US and looked forward to adding to her collection of magnets of the places she visited. Aida especially cherished spending time with her family at the Jersey shore taking long walks on the beach with her husband and attending concerts to fulfill her love of music. Her life was centered on her love for the Lord and Savior and on her family. She will be forever missed, loved, and remembered by her family and friends. May Aida’s beautiful soul rest among the angels in eternal peace.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Monday, March 28 from 4-8PM. A Memorial Mass celebrating Aida's life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 29 at 11:30AM in Hillsdale, NJ.
