Aine Garino

Born in Belfast Ireland in 1942, Aine was the youngest child to James and Alice Connolly. She grew up saying the rosary nightly with her family, taking Irish step dancing lessons, and picking wild daisies in the mountains. She attended school in Belfast until the family emigrated to the US in 1959.

Aine married Ronald Garino in 1969, and the couple moved to Westwood in 1972 where they raised their three daughters Theresa, Mary and Ann.

Aine worked at Paramus Catholic high school until her retirement in 2020. Known for her quick wit, Aine was always the life of the party and the first to join in with a song or a tap dance. She enjoyed listening to Oldies and Irish music, attending Broadway shows with her daughters, playing ping pong, going for walks on the pier with Ron and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, James and Alice and her brother Seamus. She is survived by her devoted husband Ronald and daughters Theresa and her husband Dan Marino, Mary and her husband Chris Celano and Ann and her husband Bernie Giletta as well as her grandchildren Nicole, Zachary, Claire, Katherine, Shane, Nora, Henry and Gavin. She also leaves behind her loving sisters, Sheila and Patricia and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5-8pm at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10am at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Hillsdale, NJ.

A memorial visitation for Aine will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A memorial mass will occur Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 69 Valley St, Hillsdale, NJ 07642.
