Angela Fardy, nee Barber, 94, of the Township of Washington and former 45 year resident of Westwood passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the Emerson Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Martins Ferry, Ohio in June of 1929, she attended school and two years of college there before moving with her family to Yonkers, NY where she met her husband Steven, who predeceased her in 2009. The couple moved their young family to Westwood in 1967.
Angela loved raising her family, tending to her garden and cooking traditional Greek dishes. She was a warm and gracious hostess and enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home. A former editor at the World Book Company and at the Herald Statesman Newspaper, she was an avid reader and follower of current events. She delighted in listening to and getting to know people. She had a special way about her as she truly cared about others and that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind her daughters Angela Mangano, Eleni Wittenburg and son Steven Fardys and his wife Ashley Fardys. Grandchildren, Nicole Bosca and her husband Clinton Bosca, Jaclyn DePaola and Evan Wittenburg and Xenophon Fardys and Aidan Fardys. Great grandchildren Noelle Bosca, Dimitri Bosca, Steven DePaola and James DePaola.
The family would like to thank Emerson Health & Rehabilitation Center and Valley Hospice for their wonderful care this last year.

Arrangements: Viewing at 12 pm at St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 385 Ivy Lane, Bergenfield, NJ 07621 followed by funeral mass at 12:30 pm. Burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery
