Carmela “Mela” Isidori, 52 years old of Emerson, NJ passed away on December 15, 2014. Born in New Brunswick, NJ Mela lived in Emerson since 1973. Mela was a substitute teacher at Westwood High School for many years. She was previously a CCD teacher for many years at Assumption Church in Emerson, NJ. Mela is survived by her husband of 25 years, Anthony “Tony” Isidori; her sons, Nicholas and Anthony Isidori; her sisters, Grace and Elizabeth Bertone; her father and mother-in-law, Ceasar and Susan Isidori; her sister-in-law, Nancy Salvemini; her niece, Anna Salvemini; her nephew, Frank Salvemini and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carmela was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Anna Bertone and her brother, Mario Salvemini. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Thursday 9:30am with a 10:30am funeral mass at Assumption Church in Emerson, NJ. Private cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
