Catherine D. Fleming

Catherine D. (Gassert) Fleming, 81 years old of Toms River, NJ formerly of Emerson, NJ passed away at her home on January 8, 2013. Born in Union City, NJ, she lived in Emerson for over 40 years before moving to Toms River 10 years ago. Mrs. Fleming was a cafeteria manager for Hewlett Packard in Paramus for 15+ years before retiring. She was a former parishioner of Assumption Church, Emerson, NJ and the Rosarian Society of the church, she loved to go to Atlantic City and vacation at Lake George, NY.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, James J. Fleming; her sons, Dennis Fleming and his wife Myriam and Brian Fleming and his wife Denise; her daughters, Maureen Leidig and her husband Chris, Janice Fusco and her husband John and Karen Quinn and her husband Robert; her sister, Frances Parkes; her 14 grandchildren, Jayme, Shannon, Allison, Wayne, Ryan, Sabrina, Christopher, Meaghan, Samantha, Catherine, Brianna, Kelly, John and Tyler and her 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Saturday 9:30am with a 10:30am funeral mass at Church of the Assumption, Emerson. A private cremation will follow. Visiting hours are on Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home.
