It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Cheryl Corr, a woman whose boundless love, unwavering loyalty, and spirited nature touched countless lives. Cheryl departed peacefully on June 16th at the age of 64.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ to Adele Mondics and Thomas Forbes, Cheryl was a beacon of devotion throughout her life. A cherished daughter to Adele, devoted mother to Michele, supportive sister to Scott, and a beloved aunt to her niece Alexa and nephew Nicholas, Cheryl adored her family. Her greatest joy, however, came from her role as the incomparable "AMA" to her grandchildren, Christian and Alexander.
Cheryl was a true caregiver, constantly putting the needs of others before her own. Her empathy and genuine connection with everyone she met made people feel seen, heard, and truly special. This remarkable quality extended to her professional life in all aspects of her career with her latest role as an office manager at Foundations Physical Therapy. Her impeccable attention to detail was a testament to her dedication and care. She genuinely loved the patients and staff she served there.
A true sports fan at heart, she fiercely cherished her beloved New York Giants, New York Yankees, the Knicks, and an all-around enthusiast of sports. She loved traveling with the Giants Road Crew and visiting cities around the country. Her passion for sports also extended to the track, as a devoted lover of horses and the Triple Crown. She brought a spunky, beautiful soul to everything she did, facing life with joy and an infectious spirit.
A truly devoted friend, Cheryl's generosity of spirit shone brightest in her willingness to listen and her long, heartfelt phone calls with family and friends. Few things delighted her more than a dinner out with loved ones, or the simple joy of a Dunkin' iced coffee. While her absence leaves an unfillable void, her enduring legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to illuminate the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Cheryl is survived by her wonderful mother Adele, brother Scott, daughter Michele, son in law Franky, grandsons Christian and Alexander. A memorial service to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held at Becker Funeral Home on June 25th from 1-3pm and 6pm -8pm. An interment and celebration of life will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Make a Wish Foundation.
