Christopher O. Hansen

Christopher Owen, 43 years of age, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2012. He leaves behind a son, Theo Owen Hansen, his mother Margaret (Peggy) Hansen, a sister, Nora Marie Hansen, and his brothers, William Joseph Hansen and Timothy Gerard Hansen, and Timothy's wife Nola. He was predeceased by his father, Gerard F. Hansen, MD. Chris also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Chris was a 1988 graduate of Pascack Hills High School. He also attended the University of Rochester. He graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Lincoln Technical Institute.

Although he worked as a nurse, his true delight was music. For many years, he served as the lead guitarist in his band, The Other Half. While the band as a unit ended years ago, Chris remained involved in music making with the members of his band and with others. He will always be remembered as the outgoing guitarist with the nimble fingers and the big smile.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at his family's parish church, Our Lady Mother of the Church, in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate a life of joy, a life of music, and a life lived well, but much too short.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Chris' memory to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
