Daphne Maureen Karcich

KARCICH, Daphne M. (nee Stankiewicz) (66), of Jeffersonville, NY, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed on December 24th. Born to parents Leopold & Dorothy in Jersey City, NJ. Daphne is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years Mario (retired deputy chief of West New York, NJ Police), son Scott and his wife Julie of Hillsdale and Timothy of River Vale, beloved dog Ambre and grandpuppy Friday.

Daphne spent most of her life in Hillsdale, joining the board of realtors of Pascack valley, becoming realtor of the year in 1998, volunteering free time to meals on wheels and being a proud den mother for cub scout pack 81.One of her proudest accomplishments was co-founding Command Radio Communications with Mario 25 years ago, still working recently in the office when able.

Family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ on Friday January 1st from 2-4 & 7-9. A Mass celebrating Daphne’s life will be held at St. John The Baptist in Hillsdale on Saturday at 11:30AM with private cremation to follow.
