Edward John Fernandez

Edward Fernandez, Eddie, Ed, passed away while on vacation on 7/13/2024 at 44 years old. He was born and raised in Westwood, NJ and was currently living in Bergenfield, NJ. Eddie was born on 11/19/1979 and attended both Bergen Catholic and Westwood High School. After high school he went to a technical school for higher education. He was currently working as a Technical Implementation Engineer at Change Healthcare, Optum. Eddie loved anything and everything related to IT and technology and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, cousins and his entire extended family. He had a heart of gold and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Fernandez, his girlfriend Geidy and his four brothers - George, Nelson, Robert and Tony and their wives Michelle, Lorena and Adrienne respectively. Five nieces and nephews - Sarah, Ileana, Nelson Jr., Sal, Shelly and many cousins, aunts and uncles in the family who love him so dearly. He was predeceased by his father Eulogio Fernandez and beloved cousins Christopher Fernandez and Juan Carlos Fernandez.

The funeral reception and visitation will be held on Wednesday 7/31 from 9-11 a.m. at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ.
