Fredric J. Parodi

Fredric J. Parodi peacefully passed away on March 8, 2025. He was 86 years old. Fredric grew up in Hillsdale and went to Pascack Valley High School where he met his future wife to be, Mary Lou, in the nurse’s office. Fredric is survived by his beloved wife Mary Lou Parodi (nee Baillif). They were married in 1959 and lived together for 65 years in Montvale. Fredric is survived by his loving daughter Cheryl Johnson and her husband David of Pearl River, NY, loving son Vincent L. Parodi and his wife Jean of Montvale, and loving son Fredric J. Jr. Parodi and his wife Susan Redman of Old Lyme, CT. Adoring grandfather to Christine, Matthew, Nicholas and Joseph.

Fredric proudly served our country in the US Navy as a helicopter anti submarine squadron eleven on the USS Wasp. After his service in the Navy, Fredric became an accomplished police officer serving the town of Montvale, Local 303, for 27 years until he retired under the rank of Sergeant. Fredric was a devoted volunteer for Tri-Boro ambulance corp. He was a very active parishioner at the Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River. He enjoyed participating in anniversary dinners, funeral ministry, confirmations and as a Eucharist Minister. Fredric was an enthusiastic golf player. He loved to travel and explore different countries. Fredric enjoyed fishing, camping, and was skilled at making stained glass artwork. He will be deeply missed and remembered by his loving family, friends and acquaintances.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Becker Funeral Home, Westwood. A celebration of Fredric’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 10:00 am at The Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkhill, NY.
