GOODFRIED, Herbert Joel, 84, of the Township of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, was a Commander in the Naval Reserves, and was a Senior Port Engineer for Farrell Lines Shipping Company for 37 years. Beloved husband of the late Yolanda L. Goodfried, loving and devoted father to Carol and Keith Zwain and Christine and Ted Weiselberg. Cherished grandfather to Jen and Jim Liming, Heather Zwain, Ali and Jason Hochstadt, and Tara and Sam Horr. Adored great grandfather of Owen, Ashley, Caila and Madelyn. The family will gather with their relatives and friends for a graveside service 1:00PM (SHARP) on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ, 201-652-4300. Please meet at the cemetery office parking lot. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Herbert may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Health and Hospice of Englewood, 15 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631.
