 I was visiting from Florida and I always made time to see my loving Mami Isabel.

As a child Christmas for me was when you arrived…our Santa Claus.
You will be loved and remembered always.

Isabel and I would call each other three times a week, and I visited her once a week. I always asked her how she was doing and she would reply “Good, by God’s grace.” I will always remember her because despite her sickness, she remained strong and always welcomed me with open arms.

I called her Mami Isabel. Even though she was not my mother biologically she always treated me as if I was. 

She was a superhero to me. She saved my sister's life at the age of 2 after we were abandoned by our biological mother. Mami Isabel took my sister in and gave her an amazing home, education, and family. 

All of my memories of visiting Barbara at Mami and Papi's house are of a lot of good food, laughter, and Love. 

I never wanted to leave when it was time to go home. 

Mami's heart was so big. Big enough for whoever entered her home. 
I never felt like an outsider. I always felt like I was right at home when I was around her.

I can hear her now Belindita are you hungry? Always offering to make me a hot plate of food. 

My heart breaks because I am going to miss her, but my heart breaks even more for my sister .

Sissy, I am here for you always. Mami lives in our memories. We have so many that can fill our hearts with Joy. 

She gave you 49 years of unconditional Love. I am here to remind you of that. 

Mami until we see each other in heaven. Thank You again for all you did.

This was the first time I met my mother-in-law Mami Isabel in person after her daughter Barbara (Figgie) & I got married. What I loved about my wife Figgie I saw in Mami. Mami was gentle and caring & made me feel beyond welcomed into her family. I’m forever grateful she was a part of our lives. 

Even though I never had the opportunity to meet Ms. Robles in person, I have formed a close friendship with her daughter, Barbara, and her son-in-law, Mark Daniel.

If Ms. Robles was anything like Barbara, I automatically believe she was an extremely beautiful soul, both inside and out. All of the traits that we have, whether they are positive or negative, are quite often passed down to our children. I am quite confident in saying that Barbara has likely mirrored 100% of her now-late mothers, beautiful qualities. As I stated earlier, I never had the privilege of knowing or even meeting Barbara's mother, but I stand by my original statement that if Barbara is anything like her mother, then Ms. Robles had to be an extremely loving, compassionate, sympathetic, empathetic, and generous human being.

During this difficult and sorrowful time, my heart goes out to Barbara, Mark, and their families. They are cherished friends, and I will keep them in my thoughts as they navigate through the coming weeks. Coping with a loss is never easy, but I hope they find the strength and support they need to get through this inevitable part of life.

I hope that Ms. Robles lived a beautiful and unforgettable life, given the evident love her family had for her. She has now moved on to a greater purpose, becoming a "Guardian Angel" to many of her loved ones who are still with us. She is now at peace, free from all her ailments, and residing in a perfect place beyond this Earth. She is in heaven, with our Lord and Savior, no longer enduring any suffering or painful bonds from her time with us.
